Tillandsia Araujei

Brazil is the only place where Tillandsia Araujei can be found, and there, it grows at elevations between 2,500 and 3000 meters. This plant has thick, rigid, bright green leaves that resemble pine needles. The plant produces long stems that eventually branch out to form clusters known as caulescence. T. Araujei enjoys being hung upside down so it can curl up in the direction of the light as a result. The plant's inflorescence is a vivid salmon to rose color and will bear white flowers with five petals.

Position: They ought to get plenty of bright, filtered sunlight. A window area with an east or west facing is ideal indoors. A partially shaded outdoor area is fine, but in colder states protection from frost is necessary, making an indoor or undercover area more appropriate.

Watering: Generally speaking, a plant in a hot location needs to be watered every two to three days. In a dim, muggy environment, weekly watering is frequently sufficient. The plant can be misted or submerged to achieve this. Use a hose if you're outside. When soaking a plant, submerge it in a bowl of water for 10 to 20 minutes, then shake off the extra water. Between waterings, air plants prefer to completely dry out, and they must never have water pool at the base of the plant because this will make the plant rot.

Fertilization: During the summer, we advise fertilizing your air plants once every two weeks, and during the winter, once every month. In our "Decor" section, we offer Air Plant Fertilizer, which can be diluted to make 1L of fertilizer.

Depending on the season, each living plant can vary slightly in size, color, or shape. When available, flowering plants are sent.
