Guide to Airplant Care


Airflow

Windy: Water twice daily (dries in 30 minutes).

Windy (Dries in 1 hour):

daily water

Moderate (2-hour drying time):

once every two days for water

Bad (Dries in 3 hours)

Better airflow position is required.


Light

In the filtered afternoon sun, thick trichomes

filtered afternoon sun - Silver/white leaves

Smooth leaves - Morning sunlight

Direct morning sun: Bulbous

80% of air plants require shaded light.


Water

Spray water until the plant is completely submerged.

Before 10 a.m. or after 5 p.m., mist water.

Use rainwater, aged overnight tap water, or aquarium water.


Temperature

Ideal - Below 30 °C acceptable - less than 40 °C

Humidity

Faster growth but greater risk of fungus or algae infection at 80% or higher. 65% or less: Slower growth, nicer appearance, but more pest risk.

NPK Fertilizer

Growth = Nitrogen Roots & bloom = phosphorus (P) Potassium (K): Immunity and color Supplement nutrients equal to 1g per liter of water; targeted results equal to 2g per liter of water.
